What to include in your transformer RFQ
Start here when the power path needs isolation or controlled power transfer at a switching frequency. The right discussion depends on the topology and the conditions around the part.
Useful inputs for an initial discussion
- Topology and operating frequency
- Input and output conditions
- Isolation, clearance and creepage needs
- Mechanical envelope and winding arrangement
- Temperature, test and documentation requirements
Buyer questions
Ordering custom high-frequency transformers
Jiayang manufactures custom high-frequency transformers. The appliance portfolio includes high-frequency transformer examples; electrical and mechanical suitability is reviewed for each project.
What is needed to quote a custom high-frequency transformer?
Send the converter topology, input and output conditions, power, switching frequency, turns-ratio target and maximum dimensions. Include insulation, terminal and test requirements, expected quantity and timing. A reference part is useful, but the final specification still needs review.
Can a reference transformer replace a complete specification?
A reference part or drawing can start the discussion. Identify which characteristics must be retained and what may change. Confirm the winding arrangement, insulation, thermal limits and acceptance tests before approving a replacement.
Are the transformers shown ready to order at a fixed price?
The photos show portfolio examples. Final price, sample requirements, minimum order quantity and delivery terms depend on the agreed drawing and project scope; request a quotation for your own part.
