What information is needed for a current transformer quotation?
Include primary current, operating frequency, required turns ratio, burden and accuracy target, plus isolation requirements. Add aperture or package dimensions, mounting, terminals, temperature conditions, quantity and timing.
Why should the burden and accuracy conditions be included?
These are part of the measurement requirement used to review the component with the surrounding circuit. State how the accuracy target is defined and which operating points or tests will be used for acceptance.
Are all portfolio current transformers suitable for my measurement circuit?
